The main aim of the regional “Cataplana Experience” competition for restaurants is to promote the cataplana as a culinary utensil to be used for both cooking dishes and serving them. It is intended that this will also help draw attention to the Algarve’s regional products, its culture and culinary traditions, and act as a stimulus for creativity.
